Monthly attendance list

Monthly attendance at a glance

This list brings each pupil’s attendance across one month into a single, readable record, so patterns and missing entries are easier to notice than in separate daily notes.

Set the reporting period

Choose the correct class and calendar month before entering marks, and use the attendance and absence codes approved by your school rather than creating informal substitutes.

Record reasons consistently

Enter a reason only when it is known and use concise factual wording; the value of a monthly overview depends on comparable entries from one day to the next.

Review the completed month

Before filing or printing, scan for unexplained gaps, duplicate marks, and absences that need follow-up under your local attendance procedure.

Handle the record securely

Attendance information identifies pupils and may be sensitive, so share this list only with authorised staff and store printed copies according to school policy.
